The following are the ways to boost your optimism when you are sick or facing health issues and are spending time at the hospital or quarantined at home.

 

  • Be cooperative: cooperating with your doctor is the first step to come of sickness. You must abide by his instructions. Follow the food regulations and medication schedule provided by the doctor.
  • Destress: don’t spend your whole time thinking about the disease and its complications. You can destress yourself by reading a good book or listening to pleasant music. Consult with your doctor and explore the ways to destress.

  • Don’t harbour unwanted thoughts: when you are sick, stop thinking about things that make you sad or down. Being sad will affect your blood pressure levels and will make your health worrisome.
  • Connect with your family and friends: spend a few minutes every day talking over the phone with your family and friends. Chatting with them will reduce your burden and make you light.
  • Stay away from Social Media: though social media has both positives and negatives, the number of people spreading false information is on the rise. Rumours will affect your mental strength, so it is better to stay away from social media for some days.

 

Corona is undoubtedly a difficult situation but being afraid of it or ignoring it is not the solution. Understand the facts of Corona and act accordingly. Don’t forget to wear the mask and to have a vaccine shot at the earliest. Be optimistic, and we can all handle this situation better.
